I was never one to make New Years resolution, especially with how the last two to three years have played out. But I always set intentions and goals to work towards in the year. There is always pressure on us mere mortals to give up something, whether its dry January, smoking or chocolate. Yes don't let me stop you giving up things, but why not do something new or exciting for you! Put you in the centre instead of everyone else. Yes family is important, yes we have bills to pay and friends to catch up with, but instead of trying to please everyone do something for you.
I have taken on learning a new language, early days yet, I will let you know how I progress. I am also setting myself a weekly goal of writing a piece every week, a short story or a poem, whatever takes my fancy, I start back at writing evening classes towards the end of the month, I love these classes as they really help me focus whilst also giving me confidence in what I write, and any excuse to read others work too.
My other main goal regarding my art journey is to hold an exhibition. I am currently putting out feelers at the moment to see where is the best place to hold such an exhibition. For now I am back at the easel creating more beautiful art pieces of buildings. I loved doing commissions for Christmas and I look forward to sharing these with you over the coming weeks.
