My local town for shopping, I always have a special place for Athlone in my memories.  So much history amongst the streets.

Where I can immerse myself in its 12th Century history and marvel at its location. Built for King John by Bishop John de Gray of Norwich. A defense to protect the crossing point of the River at Athlone.
