Black Abbey, Adare, Co. Limerick, Ireland. Pen and Watercolor Original Painting.

Known also as Adare Augustinian Friary, it is located just outside the picturesque village of Adare in Co. Limerick.  Founded by John Fitzthomas Fitzgerald in 1256, completed in 1316.

This church became the Church of Ireland parish church and schoolhouse.  It was restored in the 19th century, a small cloister and 15th Century Tower are among the surviving medieval parts of the building.
