Nestled beside the stunning lakes of Killarney in Co. Kerry you will find the beautiful gabled Elizabethan - Style Victorian mansion of Muckross House.  The estate dates back to the 17th Century, when the Welsh Herbert family fell in love with the area and settled here.

The house was completed in 1843 for Henry Arthur Herbert and his family.  Queen Victoria visited and stayed here plunging the family into huge debt as they made over their home for the royal visit.
