Located on the banks of the River Shannon in County Offaly is the historic monastic site of Clonmacnoise. Reputed to have been pillaged and plundered on many an occasion by the Vikings, owing to the fact of its ideal location on a busy river.
Teampull Finghin or MacCarthy's Church has its nave and chancel dating from the 12th Century, possibly used as a bell tower as well as a place of refuge.
This painting measures 12" x 16" and is framed.
